  • 4 King Salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or ½ teaspoon dried)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Lemon slices and fresh parsley for garnish

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Dish
    • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
    • Line a baking dish or sheet pan with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, honey, and thyme.
  3. Season the Salmon
    • Pat the King Salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
    • Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
  4. Coat and Bake
    • Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the salmon.
    • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness. King Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 125°F to 130°F for medium or 140°F for well-done.
  5. Garnish and Serve
    • Top with fresh parsley and lemon slices for extra flavor.
    • Serve with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a light salad.

Notes

For a crispier top, broil the salmon for the last 2 minutes.
