Make your own jalapeño chips at home with this easy and crispy recipe! Perfectly seasoned and baked (or air-fried) for a healthy, crunchy snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 large russet potatoes (or corn tortillas for tortilla chips)
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional, for extra smokiness)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven or Air Fryer

    • Oven: 375°F (190°C).
    • Air fryer: 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the Potatoes or Tortillas

    • Use a sharp knife or mandoline for even, thin slices.
  3. Season the Chips

    • Toss with olive oil, jalapeños, salt, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. Bake or Air-Fry

    • For baked chips: Spread in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway.
    • For air-fried chips: Arrange in the air fryer basket. Cook for 15 minutes, shaking halfway.
  5. Cool & Serve

    • Let them cool for extra crispiness. Enjoy with ranch, guacamole, or queso!

  • Use sweet potatoes for a twist on jalapeño chips.
