  • 3 tablespoons Dutch-process cocoa powder
  • 1¼ teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 cup salted sweet cream butter, room temperature
  • ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2¼ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3.9 ounces instant chocolate pudding mix (1 small box)
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
 

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda.
  3. Set aside in a large bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Mix in the chocolate pudding mix until fully incorporated.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Scoop dough and form into balls. Space them on the baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
